Abstract

  • Combined Farmer Exchange Rate (FER) in Kalimantan Tengah Province fell 2.27 points, from 107.48 percent (February 2020) to 105.21 percent (March 2020). This was influenced by the decline in the exchange rate of the smallholder estate crops (3.01 points), food crops (2.17 points), livestock (1.53 points), and horticulture (0.15 points).
  • The price index received by farmers (????) fell 2.14 points while the price index paid by farmers (????) rose 0.25 points.
  • The highest FER occurred in the community estate crops sub-sector (109.39 percent), followed by livestock (102.97 percent, fisheries (102.97 percent), horticulture (101.35 percent), and food crops (97.82 percent).
  • Agricultural Household Exchange fell 2.17 points, from 108.83 percent (February 2020) to 106.66 percent (March 2020).
  • The Household Consumption Index in rural areas is 106.64 percent or 0.28 percent inflation occurs. There is an increase in the price index in almost all groups of household expenditure, except in the expenditure group for housing, water, electricity, and household fuel and transportation.
