Abstract

Combined Farmer Trade Index (FTI) in Kalimantan Tengah Province increased by 1.04 percent, from 99.37 (July 2020) to 100.40 (August 2020). This was influenced by the increase in the exchange rate of the smallholder estate crops subsector (2.23 percent) and food crops (0.55 percent).
  • The highest FTI occurred in the livestock sub-sector (103.06) followed by fisheries (101.02), smallholder plantation crops (100.65), food crops (99.15) and horticulture (97.88).
  • The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises increased by 0.71 percent, from 100.35 (July 2020) to 101.06 (August 2020).
  • The price index received by farmers (𝐼𝑡) increased 0.66 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (𝐼𝑏) decreased 0.38 percent.
  • The Household Consumption Index in rural areas was 106.35 percent or there was a deflation of 0.47 percent. There was a decline in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure category; recreation, sports and culture; health; as well as information, communication and financial services.
