Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (FER) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (Ir) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ip).
  • FER is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FER also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Combined FRE of Kalimantan Tengah in April 2022 decreased by 1.04 percent compared to March 2022, from 133.89 to 132.50. This decrease was caused by the decline in the exchange rate in all sub-sectors, namely the food crops sub-sector, which fell 2.74 percent, the horticulture sub-sector 1.59 percent, the fisheries sub-sector 0.94 percent, the people's plantation crops sub-sector 0.67 percent and the livestock sub-sector 0.35 percent. .
  • In April 2022 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (HCI) in Kalimantan Tengah by 1.15 percent, which was mainly due to an increase in the transportation group (2.71 percent), clothing and footwear group (1.10 percent) and the food, beverage group. and tobacco (1.08 percent).
  • The Kalimantan Tengah Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (HBER) in April 2022 also decreased by 1.23 percent, from 134.54 (March 2022) to 132.89 (April 2022).
