March 2022: The number of poor people in Kalimantan Tengah is 145.10 thousand people, an increase of 4.1 thousand people compared to September 2021

Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2022 was 5.28 percent, an increase of 0.12 percentage points compared to September 2021 and March 2021.
  • The number of poor people in March 2022 was 145.10 thousand people, an increase of 4.1 thousand people from September 2021 and an increase of 5.1 thousand people from March 2021.
  • The percentage of the urban poor in September 2021 was 5.08 percent, rising to 5.17 percent in March 2022. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in September 2021 was 5.23 percent, rising to 5.36 percent in March 2022.
  • Compared to September 2021, the number of urban poor in March 2022 increased by 0.09 thousand people (from 5.08 million people in September 2021 to 5.17 thousand people in March 2022). In the same period, the number of rural poor people also increased by 0.13 thousand people (from 5.23 thousand people in September 2021 to 5.36 people in March 2022).
  • The Poverty Line in March 2022 was recorded at Rp. 548,816,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp. 426,914- (77.79 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp. 121,903,- (22.21 percent).
  • In March 2022, the average poor household in Central Kalimantan had 4.86 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is IDR 2,667,246-/poor household/month.
