April 2023: The number of air and sea transport passengers has increased compared to March 2023, by 3.80 percent and 93.76 percent respectively

Abstract

Flight frequency increased by 8.43 percent, from 961 flights (March 2023) to 1,042 flights (April 2023).

The number of air transport passengers increased by 3.80 percent, from 87,220 people (March 2023) to 90,536 people (April 2023).

Goods traffic using air transportation fell by 12.46 percent, from 1,340 tons (March 2023) to 1,173 tons (April 2023).

The frequency of ship visits to ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region decreased by 6.25 percent, from 704 visits (March 2023) to 660 visits (April 2023).

The number of sea transport passengers increased by 93.76 percent, from 29,810 people (March 2023) to 57,759 people (April 2023).

Traffic of goods using sea transportation fell by 23.60 percent, from 1.48 million tonnes (March 2023) to 1.13 million tonnes (April 2023).

During April 2023, sea transport passenger activities were concentrated at Kumai Port (74.11 percent), while the volume of goods flow was concentrated at Sampit Port (48.43 percent).
