Abstract

Kalimantan Tengah's export value in May 2023 reached US$397.43 million, down 29.13 percent compared to exports in April 2023, and down 31.28 percent compared to exports in May 2022.

Coal, palm oil, lignite, zirconium ore and processed wood are Kalimantan Tengah's main export commodities during May 2023.

Japan, China and India are the main export destination countries for Kalimantan Tengah during May 2023.

Cumulatively, Kalimantan Tengah's export value increased by 0.26 percent, from US$2,421.53 million (January-May 2022) to US$2,427.74 million (January-May 2023).

Kalimantan Tengah's import value during May 2023 reached US$15.35 million, an increase of 158.85 percent compared to April 2023 and an increase of 2,796.23 percent compared to May 2022.

Machines for extracting fat/palm oil, asphalt and boilers are the main imported commodities for Kalimantan Tengah during May 2023.

Malaysia, Singapore and Laos are the countries of origin for Kalimantan Tengah imports during May 2023.

Kalimantan Tengah's foreign trade balance in May 2023 experienced a surplus of US$382.08 million.
