August 2023: Kalimantan Tengah Combined NTP is 115.64 or an increase of 0.71 percent compared to July 2023

Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
Kalimantan Tengah's Combined NTP in August 2023 increased by 0.71 percent compared to July 2023, namely from 114.83 to 115.64. This increase was due to an increase in the exchange rate in the horticulture sub-sector (0.42 percent) and the smallholder plantation sub-sector (1.78 percent). Meanwhile, the food crops, livestock and fisheries sub-sectors experienced a decline in exchange rates, respectively by 1.38 percent, 1.52 percent and 0.06 percent.
In August 2023 there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.39 percent due to a decrease in the price index for the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.70 percent) and the personal care and other services group (0.01 percent ).
Compared to July 2023, the Kalimantan Tengah Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2023 also increased by 0.26 percent, from 116.11 (July 2023) to 116.41 (August 2023).

The Combined NTP for Kalimantan Tengah during March 2024 was 123.82 or an increase of 0.84 percent compared to February 2024.
