On November 13-14, 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics of West Kotawaringin Regency held an Advanced Sectoral Statistics Development in 2024 at the Kiai Gede Hall of the Regional Secretariat of West Kotawaringin Regency. This activity was attended by representatives from 8 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), consisting of the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency as the One Data Indonesia (SDI) Coordinator, the Office of Communication Informatics, Standardization and Statistics as SDI Walidata, and 6 other OPDs that have been involved or will be involved in the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics. The six DPOs include the Education and Culture Office, the Health Office, the Environment Office, the Agriculture Office, the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, and the Housing and Settlement Area Office.
The event was officially opened by Assistant for Economic and Development of the Regional Secretariat of West Kotawaringin Regency, Mr. Ir. Kamaludin, M.Si. As a resource person, Mr. M. Taufiqurrahman, SST, MT. from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Statistics Agency, who provided guidance related to the management and utilization of sectoral statistics in supporting regional development planning. The material presented included strategies to improve the quality of sectoral data and steps to meet established statistical standards.
Through this activity, each OPD is expected to be able to increase its capacity in managing sectoral data that is accurate, relevant, and accountable. This is in line with joint efforts to strengthen development planning and evaluation in West Kotawaringin Regency.
