Abstract

  • Guests staying at star hotels during February 2019 amounted to 20,923 people, consisting of 20,613 people (domestic guests) and 310 people (foreign guests). In non-star hotels, there are 47,292 people, consisting of 47,257 (domestic guests) and 35 people (foreign guests).
  • The number of guests staying at star hotels dropped by 5.81 percent, from 22,213 people (January 2019) to 20,923 people (February 2019). The number of guests staying in non-star hotels also fell 7.53 percent, from 51,141 people (January 2019) to 47,292 people (February 2019).
  • Cumulatively, the number of guests staying at star hotels rose 1.18 percent, from 42,632 people (January-February 2018) to 43,136 people (January-February 2019). In contrast, the number of non-star hotel guests fell by 17.46 percent, from 119,258 people (January-February 2018) to 98,433 people (January-February 2019).
  • Star hotel room occupancy rates rose 3.72 points, from 50.16 percent (January 2019) to 53.88 percent (February 2019). Non-star hotel RORs also rose 0.14 points, from 21.30 percent (January 2019) to 21.44 percent (February 2019).
  • Cumulatively, the average length of stay (RLTM) is a star hotel (1.45 days), longer than non-star hotel guests (1.26 days).
