Abstract

The number of guests staying at star hotels dropped by 3.09 percent, from 25,828 people (March 2019) to 25,030 people (April 2019). The number of guests staying in non-star hotels rose 1.66 percent, from 55,942 people (March 2019) to 56,869 people (April 2019).

Cumulatively, the number of guests staying at star hotels rose 3.74 percent, from 90,606 people (January-April 2018) to 93,994 people (January-April 2019). In contrast, the number of non-star hotel guests fell by 14.02 percent, from 245,680 people (January-April 2018) to 211,244 people (January-April 2019).

Star hotel room occupancy rates fell 6.14 points, from 62.88 percent (March 2019) to 56.74 percent (April 2019). Non-star RORs rose 0.77 points, from 21.47 percent (March 2019) to 22.24 percent (April 2019).

Average length of stay (RLTM) star hotel (1.52 days), longer than non-star hotel guests (1.24 days).
