November 2023: Palangka Raya experienced inflation of 0.26 percent and Sampit inflation of 0.17 percent

Abstract

  • In November 2023, combined inflation in the cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit will be 0.23 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.34. Of the 90 CPI cities,
    79 cities experienced inflation, while 11 cities experienced deflation. Highest inflation occurred in Bandar Lampung at 1.05 percent with a CPI of 118.64 and the highest deflation occurred in Tual at 0.51 percent with a CPI of 118.00. 
  • Combined inflation in the cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit will occur in November 2023 due to an increase in the price index in the personal care group and other services (0.64 percent), food, beverage and tobacco groups (0.54 percent), transportation group (0.23 percent), equipment group, equipment, and routine household maintenance (0.05 percent), recreation groups, sports, and culture (0.04 percent), health group (0.03 percent), and group provision of food and drinks/restaurants (0.01 percent). 
  • Calendar year inflation (November 2023 versus December 2022) for combined. The cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit were recorded at 2.33 percent and year-to-year inflation year (November 2023 to November 2022) of 2.58 percent.
  • Commodities that will contribute to inflation in November 2023 include: cayenne pepper, rice, air freight, tilapia, snakehead fish, gold jewelry, granulated sugar, red chilies, shallots and bananas.
  • Commodities that will contribute to deflation in November 2023 include: tuna/ambu-ambu fish, long beans, petrol, cucumber, sand, layangfish/ benggol, household fuel, green mustard greens, watermelon, and purebred chicken eggs.
