Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
  • The Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah Province in February 2024 increased by 1.28 percent compared to January 2024, namely from 121.24 to 122.79. This increase was caused by the increase in exchange rates in several subsectors, namely food crops by 2.16 percent, horticultural crops by 0.68 percent, smallholder plantation crops by 1.39 percent, and fisheries by 1.35 percent.
  • In February 2024, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah Province by 0.06 percent, which was mainly caused by a decrease in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group index (0.16 percent) and the Housing, Water, Electricity and Materials group index. Household Burn (0.01 percent).
  • The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kalimantan Tengah Province in February 2024 increased by 1.15 percent, from 124.20 (January 2024) to 125.63 (February 2024).
